Weiyin Chen to Play for the Establishment of NTUH Children's Hospital / The First Children's Hospital in Taiwan

Pianist Weiyin Chen, violinist Ilya Gringolts, conductor Xin-cao Li, together with National Symphony Orchestra. This combination of choice will perform to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of National Taiwan University Hospital. Among them all, 22-year-old pianist Weiyin Chen attracts most attention. Weiyin Chen started her piano lesson at 5. She moved to New York at the age of 13 to continue her studies in the pre-college division of The Julliard School. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree at the Peabody Conservatory with the renowned pianist Leon Fleisher. Weiyin Chen and Ilya Gringolts will play with National Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Xin-cao Li. This charity concert will definitely shine in the local musical circle.
First Lady Spoke for Children’s Hospital during Construction
The First Lady of Taiwan was invited to be the spokesperson for Children’s Hospital. With construction cost of NT$ 4.387 billion, NTUH Children’s Hospital is scheduled to  open in 2008.
